i'm trying to manifest the life i want. in the past, i did that by writing journal entries of things that hadn't happened yet but that i wanted to happen. and although they didn't happen exactly as i envisioned them, a lot of them came true. so here's my attempt. i'm desperate at this point.
danny got the job! $40 an hour, full time. monday through friday, union, good bosses, pleasant coworkers, and benefits of the gods. i'm debating on going back to the stay at home mom life, although having my own money is nice. the only issue is, it all goes to bills. i guess at $40 an hour, he could take care of all the bills, but i feel bad not contributing anything. he says being a full time mom is a job of its own and more than enough of a contribution, though. we'll see how it plays out.
she got into the school! still couldn't afford tuition on our own, but most of it is covered by their financial aid department. it'll be weird. most of the families that send their children there are wealthy. not rich, wealthy. i'm worried that she's going to run into problems with kids bullying her for our financial status, but they're all so young that i don't think they'll even notice. her grandmother keeps buying her nice clothes, so we don't have to worry about grungy second hand clothes. and she's confident and friendly. i know that doesn't always safeguard kids from bullies, but i'm confident she'll find her place and make plenty of friends. i just hope the parents are chill.
i did it! i finished all of the short stories i've been working on the past few years. a couple of them have really picked up steam on reddit. i gave sweeping permission for smaller creepypasta readers to do readings of them. i want them to do well, too. a couple bigger readers have asked for permission. one didn't get it. i don't like him. the other did. now i'm working on one of my books. hoping to get it done by the end of the year, then find a publisher.
i finally got my white whale of a commission. it's going a lot better than people told me it would, too. he's not as picky as i've heard. a lot easier to talk to than i expected. he told me basically to do whatever i wanted, just keep him in the loop. he loves what i've done so far. just adding the finishing touches and it'll be done by tomorrow. i needed this money, and the notoriety is pretty nice, too.
